Dental Implant Costs

At University Periodontal Associates, our staff is able to provide you a detailed list of costs, including what your insurance company is willing to pay, before the procedure is performed. We will assist you through the process, answering your questions as we go.

Dental Implants can be a costly process. Depending on how you look at it, Implants may or may not cost less than other restorative work. For a single tooth implant, the costs can range several thousands of dollars, though this is not paid at one time, but spread over the entire process which can take up to six months to completion. Additionally, dental implants are a permanent solution to your problem, with most patients never needing them replaced, unlike other restorations.

Dental Implant Cost Pros

•  More initial cost than other restorations but less long term costs. The life span of a dental implant is much longer than any other restoration. Unlike bridges and dentures, most patients will never need to replace a dental implant.
•  The convenience of never thinking about it again. No glues, no feeling of looseness, no problems. Implants with dental crowns placed on top look and feel like your natural tooth. With being secured directly to your jawbone, you can feel comfortable in how it feels.
•  Eat the foods you want. You never have to worry about if you can eat that cob of corn, Implants allow you to eat the foods you would have normally eaten with your natural teeth.

Additional Costs

Sometimes patients require additional procedures in preparation for their implant placement. Procedures including bone grafts, tooth extractions and extensive imaging can add to the overall cost. Dr. Dennison will be able to answer your questions and offer an idea of additional costs following your preliminary examination.
